Was about 5 minutes in when it dropped off again. Started a copy job to a brand new portable hard drive. You can reference this doc below to reset the unit to factory or re-initialize it. If the issue re-occurs, can you help send a diagnostic logs for review? To clarify, it only happens when you use Plex for watching movies, correct? Are you able to ping the server when it fell of the network? How do I completely reset the unit to factory after that? I'm going to try to back all the data off to a portable HD. I was able to direct connect AFTER the reboot, so neither adapter is working when it drops. I did a fixed ip on my laptop and could not connect. Not a power issue, as it is on an APC, and both my other servers are unaffected. Once it drops nothing I do helps except a hard reboot. I'll be watching a movie and then the server will drop off. Once it goes into the non-findable mode, I can unplug cables from other servers and nothing. When the QNAP it is running, it all works fine, and QFinder can find it and I can ping it. I have upgraded both the switch and all hard lines to cat7 a few months back and all other gear works flawlessly. Please provide a diagnostic logs for review. Have you tried with different ethernet cable? Plex is running the latest version.Ĭan you set up a direct connection test to see if the connection is stable or not? Still dropping off the network, which requires a hard reboot with the power button and then a hard drive check. In case "sig" is out of date - TS-453 PRO, running v5., but (as I don't know for certain when the issue arose), was possibly also an issue under v5.ĭoes anyone have any thoughts on this. Googling doesn't seem to find a suitably similar issue, so currently at a loss to what to do next - and whether ultimately, if communities can't help, whether this is something to raise to QNAP or PLEX.? One Reddit thread said "just change Encryption from preferred to required and back to preferred" - but again, I can't do that as I can't get to the settings.ĭid wonder if there's anything I can do via command line re: changing encryption settings (happy doing that), but no idea what to change.ġ - When "working", Plex Mgt GUI via local LAN states that the Server can't connect to my local libraries "securely" - so I can't see my libraries or access Server ConfigurationĢ - Then the Plex Server on the NAS appears to fail, with "not accepting connections", and literally can't do anything (current scenario - even after a couple of Plex server "stop/starts") nnections/", but I can't get to the Settings pages on my LOCAL Plex Mgt GUI via my local LAN, to check/change those settings. Tried to work out what I can do about the encryption issues - e.g. ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED" checking QNAP Mgt GUI/Applications, and Plex Server is shown as "Running", but click on it to open the Plex MGT GUI via local LAN, and get the "This site can't be reached" error, like the Server on QNAP has completely given up accepting connections. Then - all of a sudden, the GUI page is not available, with the error mentioned at the top of this tome - "This site can’t be reached192.168.1.50 refused to connect. ), but within the GUI, it tells me it can't connect to my server, so my libraries aren't available, and I can't get to the config pages of the Server, to check things like encryption settings. So at that point, Plex Server is a running app (as shown through QNAP GUI/Applications), and I get connection to local Web GUI (e.g. But I can't check the Config of the server via the GUI, as it won't 'connect' to my Server.!! On one restart of Plex Server via QNAP Mgt GUI, got access to Plex GUI - but it said it couldn't connect to my Plex Server, due to requiring an encrypted connection. Reinstalled older version manually, as that's the version via QNAP themselves, and presumably supported/stable. Stopped/started Plex Server (V1.23.4) in QNAP Mgt GUI ok - but didn't fix it.įollowing advice found that "if after a QNAP Firmware upgrade, Plex stops working - re-install", I downloaded the discrete QPKG file for v1.23.4 (normally jut update via QNAP Mgt GUI when prompted, so don't normally play with QPKG files), installed that manually (didn't uninstall first, as I wasn't sure if that blatted the Plex DB) - but that didn't help.ĭownloaded the QPKG for the latest Plex Server for QNAP, from Plex WebSite (v1.27.1), installed that (install ok) - but same. Via Web Browser on a PC in my local LAN, I noticed that my Plex Server GUI browser tab showed "This site can’t be reached192.168.1.50 refused to connect. Not 100% sure when this went wrong, so can't blame a Plex version or specific QNAP upgrade.
